The 2016 Conference of the Asia-Pacific Association for Medical Informatics (APAMI) will be held in Seoul, South Korea, on 2-6 November. APAMI Secretary presents at HIMSS AsiaPac2015
Newly appointed Secretary of the Asia-Pacific Association for Medical Informatics (APAMI), A/Prof Klaus Veil FACHI FHL7 presented at the HIMSS Asia-Pacific 2015 Digital Healthcare Week in Singapore. The topic of his presentation was “Implementing Social Media – Professional and Legal Issues in Healthcare“. Social Media is increasingly being used by healthcare providers as well as consumers to communicate, research and make health decisions. However, there are significant professional, medical and legal risks associated with implementing Social Media in Healthcare. Prof Veil’s presentation outlined the issues and provided some pointers to mitigate the risks.
